Karin Schluter
Karin Schluter is a 30-year-old woman who grew up in Kearney, Nebraska. Karin and her brother, Mark, grew up in a dysfunctional household with a less than ambitious father and a mother whose religious zeal superseded any mothering. Because of their upbringing, Karin always felt responsible for Mark who is four years younger than she is. Karin watched out for Mark and he grew to rely on her. It is no surprise then that when Mark is seriously injured in a car accident that Karin leaves her job and home in Sioux City to return to Kearney to care for him during his recovery.
Mark's rehabilitation is not normal, however, due to the onset of Capgras Syndrome, which leads him to believe that Karin is a double sent to spy on him. Karin perseveres doing everything she can for Mark's recovery, even appealing to a world-renowned neurologist...
