Part 2: Chapters 3-4 Summary

In chapter three, Emily wakes in a strange apartment with a man she does not remember. Emily sneaks out of the apartment and goes to her own apartment, trying to remember where she was the night before. Emily works for an advertising agency as a copy writer and she went to a party thrown by some of her business associates, but this is all she can recall. Before Emily can do anything more about her situation, Sarah calls and tells her that Pookie has collapsed. Emily goes to Sarah's home and finds her mother in a coma on her apartment floor. Emily and Sarah carefully dress and place their mother in bed while they wait for the ambulance to come for her.
