Summary

Chapter 1

The book opens with the main character, Bianca, at the local club, The Nest, with her two gorgeous friends. She very quickly realizes she hates this place and on top of that a very rude guy tells her she is the DUFF (designated ugly fat friend). She wants to leave quickly and takes her friends with her. She heads home later and comes to her usual empty house and her dad asleep. Bianca's mother is off touring the country.

Chapter 2

In this chapter Bianca heads to school on Monday. Her friend rushes to her to say she is grounded and can't go to homecoming. Bianca doesn't see the big deal but as a friend she comforts her 'distressed friend'. Bianca bumps into the rude guy from the club who just makes her mad again.
