Summary

In Chapter 10, a scavenger enters the clearing. Clay and Tsunami are surprised at how little is it. Clay wonders if they can eat it as the scavenger chatters, “as if it was trying to communicate with them” (85). The creature has a bag of treasure and Clay wonders if they can keep that. Another dragon appears, says the treasure belongs to her, and bites the head off the scavenger. She then complains that the scavenger did not taste good, comparing them to fish. Tsunami is holding a jewel and the new dragon squeezes Tsunami's talon. She then introduces herself as Queen Scarlet, ruler of the SkyWings.
