Summary
When Enrique looks away from Leticia, he is surprised to recognize Kent. It takes Kent a moment to realize Enrique owns the guest house where he is staying.
Kent explains that the theme Enrique has chosen for his guest house is that of evolution, an idea he and several college friends had become enamored with after they read Charles Darwin’s book, On the Origin of Species. The friends were so passionate about the concept that they formed an Evolution Club. About three weeks later, the Evolution Club lost its focus when a man named Jusepe, who had no interest in evolution, began coming to meetings.
