Summary

In Chapter 9, after Jamie makes repeated attempts to get together, she and Carrie meet up to go to the hospital, Carrie wears a dress that she altered. Jamie compliments her. In Mike’s room, they meet Jeff, Mike’s roommate. Rooster is already there and Mike teases him about seeing Joan again. As the days go by, Carrie settles into a routine of work and visiting Mike.

One night Mike informs Carrie that she does not have to come to the hospital every day. She explains that she visits because she loves him. Mike points out that she loved him, but her feelings have changed. Carrie tells him they should wait and see.

In Chapter 10, Carrie gets together with Ania, Viktor’s girlfriend, at a restaurant. Ania invites Carrie to join her women’s group, but Carrie does not...
