Frances Frankie Landau-Banks
Frances "Frankie" Landau-Banks is the main character and protagonist of the novel "The Disreputable History of Frankie Laundau-Banks. She is fifteen years old, very intelligent, and her figure is well-formed. She is an atheist and a feminist, and attends the prestigious Alabaster Academy. She is the younger sister of Zada, who graduated the year before. Frankie, in her freshman year, was nerdy, thin, and not much to look at. Zada makes sure that Frankie met the right people and fell in with the right groups, and Frankie survives the year thanks to Zada. The following summer, she fills out, and in the fall catches the attention of Matthew Livingston, a senior boy and newspaper editor. She is roommates with Trish, a pretty and humble girl who is very loyal to Frankie.
