Cheese Fries Summary
A series of e-mails are transcribed for the reader between Porter and Frankie. Porter apologizes for what happened with Bess and proposes to meet Frankie for food at the Front Porch on Wednesday. Trish tells Frankie to tell Matthew about the meeting, which she does. Matthew doesn't want Frankie to go, and is jealous. Matthew tells her he will let her go see Porter, which angers Frankie.
Cheese Fries Analysis
Matthew emerges as the dominant member of the relationship. Frankie, who tells Matthew that she is going to meet her ex-boyfriend, has Matthew turn the situation around on her by telling her she is allowed to go see her ex-boyfriend. This further annoys Frankie and helps feed her impulse to want to break out of the rules and out from under Matthew's dominance.
