The Neglected Positive Summary
Among the things that contributes to Frankie's behavior is a book she is reading for fun called "The Code of the Woosters" by P.H. Wodehouse. The novel has to do with a club of rich young men called the Drones who have fun and play jokes. One of the words Wodehouse uses is "gruntled" and Frankie uses it to ask Matthew to kiss him so she won't be "disgruntled". But Matthew shows her it is not a neglected positive. It annoys her that Matthew has to prove he is right.
