The Golf Course Summary
Within an hour, nearly everyone is cold. People are drinking, smoking, and walking around. Matthew is making rounds, and Frankie has no one to talk to. Frankie begins to realize that forgetfulness -such Dean forgetting he had also known Frankie the year before-is a power play.
Frankie at last talks to Star, Dean's boyfriend. Claudia, one of Star's friends, comes over to stand with them. Then they both leave Frankie alone. When Matthew walks Frankie back, they kiss.
There are three kinds of girls: girls like Trish, who prefer feminine and domestic things; girls like Star, who hang with the boys despite boredom, because they are girlfriends or could be girlfriends; and the third group of girls who embrace guy activities.
