E. Lockhart's "The Disreputable History of Frankie Laundau Banks" is a young adult novel that follows the adventures of Frances (Frankie) Landau-Banks, a fifteen year-old sophomore at the prestigious Alabaster Academy in Massachusetts.
In a letter to Headmaster Richmond and the Board of Directors at Alabaster Preparatory Academy in Massachusetts, Frankie Landau-Banks takes responsibility for a series of incidents created by Loyal Order of the Basset Hounds. She says she is the ringleader and is alone responsible for what has happened, despite what Porter Welsch states in his confession.
Frankie furthermore will not name names of other members of the Order. She contends that much of what she has done has been social-criticism.
