One night Tom Zutaut from Elektra Records sees the Motley Crue performing at the Whisky A Go-Go and soon negotiates a record deal with them. The group records their Too Fast for Love album and goes on tour before the record is even released in order to fulfill a debt made by their manager who disappears soon afterward. The record has amazing sales in spite of the record label's unwillingness to promote it. During this time, paranormal events begin to occur especially to Nikki and the band changes its next album name from Shout with the Devil to Shout at the Devil.
