Summary

The narrator follows the story of forty two year old Jack. Jack was waiting outside of his rental unit for a man he had hired to help him move. His yard guy, Ryan, had recommended this man, Mike, and Jack believed that the $20 per hour that he charged was a fair price. While Jack waited he hoped that Mike did not talk as much as Ryan so that he would be more efficient. When Mike arrived he drove directly through the gate that Jack had opened for him, toward the storage unit. Jack was annoyed he had not stopped to introduce himself and found it rude when Mike did not immediately get out of the car on arrival, but sat in there for ten minutes before exiting.
