Summary
Nick, a famous actor, wandered around the streets of Manhattan, crying. He thought back to his wedding day in Cuba and was distressed that his marriage was now over. He told himself that it had been inevitable as all marriages eventually end. After walking around town, he headed to the apartment of a woman he had met a few days earlier, at an art gala. The nameless woman, an assistant to a famous artist, had sat next to him and they had talked all night. He had driven her home after she had had too much to drink.
