Chapters 6-11 Summary

Chapter 6:

Reggie and Henry's Dad comes home from work. Mrs. Boswell is being wheeled out on a gurney. While Henry is upstairs Reggie and her father talk about how they will explain the death. Dad decides that Henry understands death. Reggie looks at the Christmas tree and thinks that the night it was decorated had been one of the few happy times they've had in the home since her mother left. They'd spent the entire evening putting ornaments on the tree while Dad sang Christmas carols.

Reggie goes to bed. Her thoughts go between thinking about Henry's strange behavior and Quinn. Reggie also thinks about Mrs. Boswell. Reggie finally falls asleep.

Reggie has a nightmare. She dreams that she wakes up at 12:41 AM to the sound of Christmas carols. Reggie thinks it's much too late for Christmas carolers and wonders if...
