Book 1, Discovery: Chapters 1-4 Summary
This novel is the fourth book by journalist and historian Jeff Long.
In Chapter 1, Ike Crockett is a mountaineer who owns a company that takes people up some of the most famous mountains in the world. Ike and his partner/lover, Kora, are currently on an expedition that was supposed to circumvent some of the historical and religious sights in the Himalayas, but somehow Ike has gotten lost. To add to their problems, a snow storm is coming. Ike takes the entire group into a small gave he has found quite by accident. Once inside, the group discovers the body of a Englishman that has been covered in writings and tattoos carved into his skin. This distracts the group for a time.
