A week before Dancer and Bird leave, Willo calls a meeting. She greets everyone, and then Lord Averill Demonai addresses the group, telling them that Lord Bayar is exerting pressure on the Queen to marry Raisa to Micah. He informs them of the attack on himself and Captain Byrne on Raisa's name day, and that the Princess has escaped and gone into exile. Elena reminds them the Bayars may have amulets from before the Breaking which do not have the limitation put on those made and issued since.
