Richard Grant
Richard Grant is the narrator of The Deepest South of All: True Stories from Natchez, Mississippi. He is British, and the fact that he is not American gives him a unique vantage point as he learns about the richness of Natchez. He makes friends easily, and his amicable nature allows him to talk freely to sources. In fact, some of the sources invite him to their homes and tell him stories that they have told very few others.
Grant is so taken by Natchez that he considers moving there with his wife and toddler, but he and his wife decide that Natchez's poor public schools and its relentless gossip mill make that move impossible.
