Part 2: Chapters 25-27 Summary
Chapter twenty-five details Johnny's ongoing collection of materials on Greg Stillson. Also included are newspaper clippings about the fire at Cathy's and how the death toll had climbed to ninety people.
In the numerous notebooks Johnny kept on Stillson, there were also notes jotted in the margins. Johnny has lengthy conversations with himself about what should be done. Stillson has already been re-elected and has formed his own political party. Johnny ponders several ways in which Stillson could be hindered or stopped. However, only two have any real merit - maiming and killing. Killing Stillson is the best option. At first Johnny is convinced that there is still time but soon Johnny finds out that he may not have much time left.
