Ruby Daly

Ruby is a member of a generation of children who possess an array of supernatural powers. In Ruby’s case, she has the ability to tap into the memories of others and, as she hones her skill, to remove specific memories. The first three times Ruby uses this power, she does so on accident. She erases her mother’s memories of Ruby and then her father’s, and later erases the memories of her best friend, Sam. Her skills would have classified her as “orange” in the Psi system of evaluating the skills of the affected children, but Ruby plants the idea in the mind of her evaluator who decides Ruby is a “green.” When most of the orange children are killed or moved to high-security prisons, Ruby is left at Thurmond for six years.
