Summary

Chapter 24

In Chapter 24, Ruby is horrified until Lee says he’s looking for his friend Ruby, who he hasn’t seen “in ages.” Ruby begins to cry and it’s tense until they make up. Hina arrives one day and says a group is leaving the camp. She and Suzume are going with the group. Hina says they are going to California where her family has a house. She says the West Coast government has pledged not to send the Psi children back to the prison camps. The three remaining are worried about Suzume and Chubs suggests they follow but Lee says they are safe and needed at the camp.

Chapter 25

In Chapter 25, Chubs and Lee argue about whether they should remain at the camp after Suzume’s departure and Ruby becomes unfocused to the point that Clancy snaps at her. He says...
