Summary

In Chapter 27, Ruby threatens Clancy with a gun and he reveals that he has been communicating with Nico. Ruby finally realizes that Nico and Clancy were in Thurmond at the same time. Clancy says he fed the League information about Nico, which led to his rescue. Jude has trouble believing that Nico has been working with Clancy, but they realize it is true. However, Clancy does not know about the flash drive. Clancy says some agents in the League rebelled, “killing Alban and seizing control of the organization” (426). League agents who did not help with the revolt were imprisoned or killed. At six the next morning, they plan to use the children to attack President Gray's summit.
