Summary

In Chapter 13, Ruby and Chubs race through the woods, following the trail that ends at a stream. Ruby sees the barrel of a gun just in time to shove Chubs out of the way. A group of boys capture them and Ruby holds herself in check, not revealing her orange power in the hope she can use them to escape after they find Jude and Vida. The boys are led by Michael. They have blue abilities and carry each other over the stream. The leader of the group, Knox, has billed himself as the Slip Kid and the camp as East River, but Ruby and Chubs have met the real Slip Kid, Clancy Gray, and have been to his camp, which he called East River.
