Summary

Chapter 32 is written form Holly’s third-person perspective. She returns to Matty’s house and tells him about Constance. He tells her that a van or a jeep drove up to Constance’s house early Monday morning and that someone was at Lorna’s house on Saturday morning. He says that the person could have come in through the back. Holly remembers that this is the entrance Josh used. Matty also says that Lorna had a laptop.

Holly talks to Harriet next. They talk about Constance’s death. Then Harriet admits that she knew that Crispin and Jill were having an affair. She explains the way her marriage with Crispin worked and that he almost jeopardized the deal by letting the rumor circulate that Lorna was his child.
