The Alternative Dragonets

The five alternative dragonets symbolize the NightWings' attempts to control the prophecy. They are intended to take the place of any or all of the original five, should the need arise. Viper is a female SandWing; Ochre is a male MudWing; Squid is a male SeaWing; Flame is a male SkyWing; and, Fatespeaker is a female NightWing. On the surface, some seem to be superior to the original group. For example, there is a SkyWing, but there is not one in the original group, and the SandWing is larger and has the barb that serves as a weapon. The original dragonet, Sunny, was smaller and did not have a barb. The alternative dragonets do not fit in other ways, such as they were not born at the right time.
