Summary
This is the fourth installment of the series. As in the previous books, a map of Pyrrhia and a guide to the seven tribes of dragons – IceWings, NightWings, SandWings, SkyWings, RainWings, MudWings, and SeaWings -- introduce the book. The country is involved in war as three sisters of the Sand Kingdom fight for the throne. A sibling group of MudWing dragonets are on patrol with SkyWings when IceWings attack. The MudWing leader, Reed, is terrified of losing another of his siblings. He lacks confidence to lead because he now knows he was not supposed to be the leader – called the big-wings. Clay should have been the leader but his egg was stolen and Clay is now one of the dragonets of destiny, a group of five dragons some believe are destined to bring an end to the war. The MudWings all survive...
