Point of View
Hunt's collection of short stories are mostly told in first person narration with some intrusion by a third person omniscient narrator. Each story has different narrators, excluding "The Story Of" and "The Story of Of" which has the same one, that leads the reader through a portion of each of their lives. Some of Hunt's stories such as "All Hands," "The Yellow," "Love Machine," and "A Love Story" have two or more narrators to tell different parts of the same story. In telling these stories through a first person narration, Hunt is giving readers an insight into how the emotions of a situation feel and are developed. She puts the reader directly into the mind of the character so that they can feel exactly what the character feels and recognize the different themes and motifs she puts into her stories.
