Summary
"A Love Story" begins with a husband and wife discussing a coyote attack, with the wife being the first person narrator. The wife then thinks about how she and her husband have not had sex in eight months and she imagines he has done something horrible to their children. The unnamed wife begins to think of the difference between a drug dealer and a writer as she has been both. She believes they are similar in that they both allow flexible hours for mothers and they deal with levels of reality. She defines herself as a romantic who writes about romantic notions in order to be honest. She believes that she is providing a guided tour to a woman with hormones.
