Summary

Part Three is titled Walls of Ice. In Chapter 20, Snowfall wakes to find several IceWings around her. Most move away once she is awake. She has not had another vision and feels rested, for once. She says Crystal is welcome to return to the Ice Kingdom anytime, and promises she will be safe there. She gives Crystal permission to marry Gharial. When Crystal says she “wasn't aware I needed that” (188), Snowfall amends it, saying she gives her blessing. They discuss the queens' decisions to send a team to Pantala, and the decree that dragons may not eat scavengers. Snowfall says she needs to return to the Ice Kingdom, and that rearranging the names on the wall will undoubtedly be her first task.
