Penelope

Penny is a fourteen-year-old girl who has just moved from New York City with her mom to Hog's Hollow. Penny's father is a huge Beatles' fan, so she is named as a tribute to the fab-four, hence the name Penny Lane. Penny's mother is originally from Hog's Hollow, so when Penny's parents separate, she and her mother move in with Gram.

Penny is having a hard time adjusting from city life to small town life. In fact, she vows that her stay in Hog's Hollow is only temporary. She is making plans on a daily basis to return to the art galleries, cafes and busy city streets of New York as soon as she can. Penny is very artistic. She has always enjoyed arts and crafts. She excels at creating new designs for her mother's cupcakes, and then helping the sketches become a reality.
