Chapter 25 Summary

While Penny and Gram try to get Cupcake settled, Penny returns her father's voice mail message. She tells her dad that she's decided to stay. Oscar, Penny's cat, is trying to paw his way under the door to get to Cupcake.

Penny goes for a walk on the beach while the snow is falling. She runs into Marcus and Sam sitting on the porch of their boarded up beach house. Penny tells Marcus that she's failing French and Marcus admits the same. Marcus puts the bracelet that he always wears and admits to making over the summer on Penny's wrist. Marcus confirms they are still going to the dance together and then Mr. Fish pulls up in his truck looking for Marcus. Penny heads home and Mr. Fish calls he Cupcake Queen again.
