Hadrian Blackwater

Hadrian Blackwater is an ex-soldier who is traveling to meet Professor Arcadius to obtain an heirloom left to him by his recently deceased father. Hadrian is haunted by his past and the men that he has killed during his life as a soldier. He is at a crossroads in his life. He gave up the life of a soldier when he learned of his father’s death.

He finds much adversity on his trip north. He meets Pickles who he takes as a servant to help the boy escape from a violent city. He misses the barge and Hadrian goes on to Colnora on his own.
