Summary
In Chapter 11, Anne and Marco wait near their phone in their house in case the kidnapper calls. Later, they retire to bed. Anne wishes that she could see Dr. Lumsden and considers talking with the doctor who is replacing her, but Marco does not want the reporters to see her going to a psychiatrist’s office. Anne thinks about holding Cora. She prays to God even though she does not believe in God. After Anne falls asleep, Marco thinks about their experiences raising Cora and his early relationship with Anne. He recalls looking up postpartum depression on his office computer when Anne told him that she had it. He had followed the links to articles about violent women with postpartum psychosis. He goes downstairs and tells Rasbach about his search history. Rasbach asks about what happened between Marco and Cynthia on the back...
