Pgs. 428 - 455 Summary
Denise and Chip communicate by email. She tells him about their father's accident and that she has been fired from her job. They write back and forth discussing Christmas until Chip stops answering.
Chip's website is launched in November and he and Gitanas celebrate the launch. They are selling things like the rental of Lithuanian troops at a fifty percent discount. The more satirical and outrageous their offerings, the more money they make. He is happy and reasonably affluent in Vilnius and plans to stay there until he repays his debts which he figures will be about six months. Then he will meet the family in Philadelphia. However, the political situation in Lithuania is deteriorating. As the danger increases, Gitanas hires more body guards.
