Denise has never received the kind of offer she receives from Brian Callahan. She has always been very competitive. She had worked at MidPac before the merger and was known as a good reliable worker. One day as she sits in the lunch room, she listens to the men talking about the merger and the hopes they have. Later that evening, she asks Alfred about it and he says that most of the men will lose their jobs. He tells her not to talk about it at the office.
