Summary

In Chapter 17, Brian struggled to focus at work after his night with Tara. Hank interrupted his thoughts with a new lead on the case.

After buying and sending Tara flowers later, Brian returned to work and found a lead of his own. He discovered that an Andrea Leary was working for Roland.

In Chapter 18, Geraldine called in sick for work. When Judy asked if she was okay, Geraldine said she was frustrated “with how things were going at home” (168). Judy prodded her, compelling Geraldine to talk about her mother’s fairy tales. Judy suggested “The Connellys of County Down” tale was her mother’s way of telling Geraldine she was strong and Tara’s way of “remembering and mourning things she lost in her childhood” (170). She encouraged Geraldine to write a list of things she had lost, too.
