Chapter 24 Summary
Harry drives out to the University of Southern California to see Dr. Locke. He finds the psychology building, and gets directions to the basement, where Locke has his offices. The student receptionist calls Locke down, and he greets Harry with enthusiasm. Harry tells him about the four new women identified as possible victims, and Locke is excited by the prospect that the killer appears due to strike at any time. He asks Harry if he can join him on a stake out, citing how it could be his ticket out of his dungeon offices, but Harry discourages him. Bosch also tells him that Mora's divorce cited lack of consortium, asking him if that fit the profile, and Dr. Locke admits that in the field of psychology, anything can be made to fit the profile, but in this case it would certainly fit.
