Summary
Britt found Tissoyo’s Medicine Hat paint with a Kiowa man as he traveled alone to forge a path for his wagons from Fort Belknap to the Indian Agency in Chapter 29. He used his spyglass to identify him as one of Mary’s abusers based on her description. As the day faded into night, Britt pulled his trigger from atop a ridge and heard a scream. Early the next morning, he confirmed the Kiowa man’s death. Britt reached the Indian Agency and asked Samuel to give the Medicine Hat paint to Tissoyo. Samuel agreed and accepted Britt’s offer to freight supplies for the agency.
