Summary
Chapter 11 continues as an exhausted Clover takes the train home. While she is used to her work, she still finds it difficult to see multiple deaths so close together. This causes her to note how everyone's flame of life could suddenly go out.
At home, Clover writes notes on Abigail's last words. Many entries in the regrets notebook mention other family members and Clover thinks the words 'I love you' represent raw vulnerability. She is uncertain, though, as no one ever said it to her. Determined to keep herself awake, Clover reads through entries in her notebooks to decide three that she could honor. In her regrets notebook, she finds Camille Salem, who regretted not eating mangos when she was younger and Clover resolves to buy one on her next shopping trip.
