Summary
Nov. 5, the day after Lorraine tried to sneak SPYGLASS out of East Berlin, the police come to her hotel room to question her about the death. They accuse her of being a replacement for the spy that was killed the week before. When they ask Lorraine where she was a 2 p.m., a voice speaks up saying the she was with him. It is Lasalle. He says they were together at his restaurant. Before the police leave, they warn Lorraine that if she has not left Berlin by the end of the week she will be extradited.
Lorraine admits to Lasalle that she wishes she had not had to go to try to get SPYGLASS free on her own. Lasalle shows her photos of Perceval talking to the man whom Lorraine killed, the one who shot SPYGLASS. Lorraine says the pictures do not...
