Summary
Lorraine continues her story on Nov. 4 when she goes into East Berlin to try to sneak SPYGLASS out. She leaves a scarf in a drop box to let SPYGLASS know the coast is clear. The pedlar has gotten Lorraine signs to help her and SPYGLASS blend in with the demonstrators as well as a gun, a Makarov, which the pedlar describes as a stasi gun. Lorraine leaves with SPYGLASS, telling the pedlar that she will see him later.
Instead of getting all the way to Checkpoint Charlie with the demonstrators as they had planned, SPYGLASS is shot and killed. Lorraine spots the sniper and kills him by pushing him over a stair banister. She returns to the house where the pedlar was told to wait in case there were any troubles.
