Summary

In Chapter 23, the police procured a search warrant and were turning over the garden and bagging the contents of the potting shed. When Leo entered The Cloisters, Moira attempted to chase him down, but he made his way to the potting shed. Detective Murphy informed him that they found “remnants of a belladonna plant whose root had been cut” (245). Ann learned the following day that Leo was arrested.
