Summary

Valerian reaches the building and manages to make his way inside. He finds that the light is inside a room designated as the “U.N. Scientific Library.” When he looks inside, he sees that robots are moving around the room, obviously with a goal in mind. When some of the robots get on the elevator, Valerian watches as it reaches the ground floor. He knows that floor is underwater and that he cannot go there, but he believes he has found a lead to Xombul.

Valerian gets back on his chair and begins paddling away but the gangsters arrive in a boat and shoot it. When the chair deflates and Valerian is swimming, the men pull him into the boat. They take Valerian back to their cargo ship, where they tell him they are gathering up loot under the direction of a man...
