Chapter 13 Summary

Borlu calls Corwi to fill her in on the details. They established a code before he left so they could talk freely on the phone in case someone is listening. He tells her the police took his gun away at the station, he says he got to look at Mahalia and Yolanda's rooms. Nothing interesting in Mahalia's and Yolanda's computer is gone.

On his third call, Borlu gets through to Dhatt. Dhatt says they aren't going to the dig tonight, but first thing the following morning, Dhatt says he is sending over all their notes and photographs by courier so Borlu can work in his hotel room tonight. Later, after reading and watching TV, Borlu wanders to Bol Ye'an, which is the dig Mahalia and Yolanda were working with Professor Nancy.
