Chapter 9 Summary
As they drive to the True Citizen address, Corwi argues with Borlu about why they are doing this when Breach is taking over the case in a few days. They encounter a group of men and one woman outside of the building. The men seem resistance at first, but when they mention Mahalia Geary, one of the men suggests that she was a spy.
A lawyer shows up for the True Citizens. He knows who Borlu is and tells him to leave. The lawyer also suggests that Mahalia Geary was a Ul Qoma spy. Borlu asks how they know who she is because the newspapers haven't printed her real name yet. This question goes unanswered.
Chapter 9 Analysis
Borlu suggests that one of the congressman, Syedr, is responsible for the murder and the subsequent cover up. Borlu definitely thinks that there is political motive...
