Chapter 3 Summary

Cameryn is obviously attracted to Deputy Justin Crowley, but she is mortified that he caught her in a moment of weakness. He assures her that there is nothing wrong with her reaction, and he even covered for her with her father and the sheriff so they do not know about her reaction. When Cameryn realizes that Justin is flirting with her, she insists she cannot like him since her father hates him, and though Justin is certain Patrick has not told Cameryn why he dislikes him, he refuses to share the information since people often kill the messenger, telling her to figure it out since she is the genius. When Cameryn is waitressing at the Grand later, her co-worker and friend, Rachel Geller, talks about the cute new deputy, but just when she is about to leave early, she asks to wait on...
