The Author (Dr. Edith Eva Eger)
Dr. Edith Eva Eger has become renowned as a psychologist and researcher, specializing in the field of recovering from trauma. A significant part of that renown has come about as a result of her having survived being interned in the Auschwitz death camp run by the Nazis in World War II. More importantly, her renown is also connected to the fact that she has developed a practice and a philosophy that involves looking for, and finding, ways of integrating past trauma into present life, and in doing so, finding ways of moving forward into a healthier, safer, and more productive future.
