Summary
In Chapter 11, there was a lot of snow during Madison's second year of captivity. One day, she decided to build another snow child, thinking it would bring pleasure to Mr. B. She created the snowman and Mr. B was delighted, but Madison grew angry when Mr. B did not bring the snow child to life. When Mr. B began dancing around the creation, Madison joined him, “and they danced in silence around her poor dead sister” (Location 1840). She is still happy when they are in bed together, though she cannot define that happiness, but she begins to be more conscious that “she was a child and Mr. B was a man” (Location 1850), and she felt there was something wrong with the relationship.
