Summary

Elvis tells Yunior that if Yunior had had a child with the ex, the ex would not have left him. Arlenny disagrees with this. Yunior is struggling in teaching his classes. He receives very low student evaluations at the end of the semester. One evening, Yunior calls the ex and leaves a voicemail saying that they should have had a child together. After the end of the semester, Yunior and Elvis fly to the Dominican Republic to see Elvis’s son. Elvis is very excited to see the boy in person for the first time. The boy and his mother live in an extremely poor region of the Dominican Republic called the Nadalands, which surprises Yunior. They arrive at the small house where the boy’s mother lives. The boy and his mother come out to greet them. Elvis and Yunior meet her family...
