Arrest of A Conspirator Summary
Lije and Daneel make their way to Yeast-town, more commonly known as the areas of Newark, New Brunswick and Trenton. Without yeast and the yeast farms, which one fifth of the City's population works in, six of the eight billion people on Earth would starve in a year's time.
The partners soon enter New York Yeast and ask for Francis Clousarr, who is on shift. Lije borrows a rod from Personnel and allows it to guide him to Department CG, Section 2 where Clousarr is working. Lije yells his name, and Clousarr looks up without flinching. He is a zymologist, or yeast specialist, hard at work on his shift.
Lije requests they speak in private. Instead of obliging like an obedient citizen, Clousarr is cold and sarcastic with the officer. He obviously has little regard for authority. They...
